Founder and designer Terhi Pölkki envisioned a brand that seamlessly combines minimalist Nordic aesthetics, effortless comfort, and enduring design. Her philosophy centers on balance: playing with masculine shapes, feminine details, Finnish nature, and contrasting material textures.

While studying at the prestigious Cordwainers in London, Terhi adopted a mantra that became the heartbeat of her brand: “We don’t run – we walk.” It is a commitment to slow consumption, quality, and craftsmanship built to last.

Terhi Pölkki footwear is handmade in small, family-run factories in Portugal under strict sustainability standards. Named after people and places close to Terhi’s heart, these are not just shoes, they are objects with a story.
