Waterproof suede boots – stay dry and look good on rainy days
It’s 7.30 am on a wet and cold late autumn morning. Time to dress up and head to work but, you are facing a seasonal problem: how to dress up on a rainy day when you want to look nice and keep your feet warm and dry at the same time.
Autumn and winter weather can be demanding when you wish to dress up without compromising your style. When raining, it is easy to ruin your favourite shoes and get your feet wet. Of course, you could wear wellies and carry spare shoes in your bag. However, this is not that tempting for fashion lovers.
In her AW18 Collection Terhi Pölkki aimed to solve this common and repeating problem. She came up designing three different models made with water proof suede: Cora Boots, Ola Army Boots and Chelsea Suede boots with warm merino lining.
Ola Army boots are Terhi’s life saver autumn shoes which, rescue her from rainy days’ wardrobe problems. – They are city proof boots that keep your feet dry. They look great combined with a pair of jeans as well as with a feminine floral dress. Durable and black rubber outsole and practical waterproof suede is great for winter too, she tells and heads up to her studio in Kruununhaka running up Helsinki Cathedral’s long stairs with the hem of her dress flying in the autumn breeze.
