TERHI PÖLKKI AUTUMN/WINTER 2020 HIDE AND SEEK COLLECTION

The Autumn/Winter 2020 collection presents renewed selection of wooden clogs that are updated with a new fresh look.

The AW20 collection is inspired by escaping from the reality and losing the track of time. The reality that’s been hitting us all hard through the past months. “For me escaping from the reality means going to the nature with my dog. That is also where I get most of my inspiration from.”, says Terhi. The collection mixes femininity and masculinity and the colour palette reflects true natural tones; deep shade of browns, a new creamy latte, navy blue and olive green.

The new innovation comes in Phil and Emmi Rewool sneakers that are made of recycled water-repellent felt. The soles are a mix of coffee beans and 100% natural rubber. Because natural rubber is plant-based, they key advantage is that it is biodegradable, and a renewable resource. This new innovation got editors excited in Copenhagen Fashion Week in January 2020 when we launched the new sneakers line. The new material doesn’t only look good but it is also sustainable through the whole manufacturing process.

Sole innovation is not the only new thing for Autumn 2020. We also take a new step ahead with the squared toe shape. The new square toe gives quirky look to Ursula ballerinas and Rey boots. A new addition is also our Sivi clog that has a teddy texture made of merino wool. Once the Winter coldness arrives our Ola and Chelsea boots will take you through to the cooler months. The beloved waterproof suede material is made to keep your feet dry during the rainy days and when the snow hits the streets.

The AW20 photoshoot was held in a historical villa in Riga, Latvia. The villa offered a perfect hideaway – a chance to escape from the reality when it is needed at the most.

Everything about the collection says
masculine and heritage so the trick is
to balance it with an outfit that isn’t.
